Planning a Team Lunch in South Lake Union? Order Like a Pro
How to plan a team lunch or dinner in South Lake Union at Meat Moot Seattle: how much smoked meat to order per person, booking for groups and weekday lunch pricing.

Feeding a team is easier when nobody has to pick an entrée. At Meat Moot, the table shares boards of smoked meat, with sauces, salads and drinks included, so ordering for eight takes about as long as ordering for two. Here’s how to plan it.
Book ahead for groups of six or more
We’re at 400 Fairview Ave N, on the corner of Republican St, a short walk from the South Lake Union offices. Walk-ins are welcome when the room allows. For groups of six or more, call us at (206) 261-0661 or send an event enquiry and we’ll have a table and carvers ready when you arrive.
How much to order
Plan on about ½ lb of meat per person for lunch and ½–¾ lb for dinner. For a team of ten, that’s roughly 5–7 lb, which works well split across two or three cuts:
- Crowd-pleaser: beef brisket
- The showpiece: beef ribs or lamb ribs
- For the adventurous: lamb neck or lamb shank
Everything comes with unlimited house sauces, salads, sides and soft drinks, so there’s no separate drinks tab to split.
Use the weekday lunch special
Monday to Friday, 12–3pm, a ½ lb lamb shank or beef brisket is $23.99. It’s a predictable per-head cost for team lunches and expense reports.
Everyone can eat
Meat Moot is 100% halal and alcohol-free, so it works for teams with mixed dietary needs without anyone having to ask for a special menu. Learn about our halal standards.
